How We Do Good

Hiya!

My first blog shares the values Sweet Batter Baked Goods is all about.

I absolutely believe in quality, good quantity (do more than expected), fair prices, friendly and accommodating customer service. These just make good business sense.

There is also an ethos that I am guided by, which is to 'Do Good'. I have declared on the website that Sweet Batter will donate a portion of the proceeds to support HBCU Students. How?

My kids at Tableview (NCAT Grads) inspired me to partner with them and make a donation to their HBCU Scholarship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FYEZpmSPEc&t=14s

See how simple and easy that is!! I am so very proud of them!

Earlier this week, my sweet Aunt Sharon (Katy,TX) called and congratulated me on finally pursuing my dream. We giggled as we reminisced conversations about my baking, and praised God for His steadfast loving kindness and blessings. Good talk!

Then she said, "I want to support your business, and bless others at the same time. Once per month I'll place an order for 2-3 dozen cookies for your Uncles retirement village."

What a great idea!

Then she said, (she's a talker),"Maybe we can find other people to order with you to make deliveries to other senior - retirement centers. That gives them something to look forward to and they know their loved ones are thinking about them. It's not much, but would mean a lot."

Oh. My. Goodness!!

I literally got goosebumps!! This will be so much fun - making deliveries and visiting seniors with a fresh batch of sweets. I'm all in on this one...

Whatcha think??
